Hey there, I’m Marc also known as yourfriendmarcus or Nerd Fiction depending on where you’ve found me from.

I am many things in this world but storyteller is probably the best encapsulation of what that all boils down to. The biggest part of what I do is video editing. I’ve unknowingly made it my mission in the YouTube space to collect my infinity gauntlet of youtubers having edited for the likes of Game Theory, Film Theory, REACT, Unus Annus and currently Markiplier. But while I’ve been well versed in the A lister world of YouTube, I actually got my start in the traditional production side of Hollywood. Moving to LA when I just turned 20 I got my start at a janky B movie production studio called Crystal Sky, you may know them for their multiple films on imdb’s worst films ever including one of the top of all time Baby Geniuses 2. From there I escaped into the world of Documentary film where I became an apprentice of sorts to Jonathan Shaw, who actually edited several of my childhood favourites like Homeward Bound and the Little Giants. And from there I would find my way into the YouTube space with my first YouTube gig working for the channel now known as REACT and from there I would continue my career working in the YouTube space, creating my own channel Nerd Fiction even, as I had just fallen in love with the lack of restriction to the artist and the ability to do anything you wanted, the only limitation being your own ability. I would dip out of this world for short projects such as The Other Me where I was able to co-edit my first feature film with my mentor Jonathan.

I’m currently not looking for outside work, but will always hear about outside projects as I am a man driven by passion for the projects I choose so my door is always open for the next adventure. But in the meantime, while doing great things with Markiplier, I’m also exploring that Documentary itch and God-Willing when the pandemic ends looking to bring some really high quality and rich documentaries to YouTube.
